Food for Life
We are doing our best to keep this program running.
During this time the process has changed, food bags are put together at the Food For Life head quarters and delivered to the church by 9:30 am on Fridays. We ask clients to be at the church around 9:30 am and join the line and comply with physical distancing.
When we have the bags organised we will hand them out one at a time. There is no opportunity to customize the bags. Please note we receive a limited number of bags each week so quantities are limited.
Food for Life (F4L) is a food recovery program that picks up surplus food from grocery stores, restaurants and corporate partners (mainly fruit, vegetables and baked goods) and delivers it to outreach programs in low-income locations throughout Halton. The hosts one of these outreach programs each Friday morning.
If you are a family in need please have the bags to the church by 9:45 am so that you can receive your items.
We sort and bag food for families in our community. Many volunteers are from our church family. We would love for you to join us any Friday morning between 9.30 am and 11.30 am. Time depends on your choice of activity. There is a job for everybody. One hour volunteering is a big help.
Speak to Marsha Ahrens co-ordinator or contact the church office about volunteering.
